Ms. Beverly A. Lujan, Speech-Language Pathologist

Twenty years ago Beverly A. Lujan founded Lingual Arts to conduct courses and seminars on accent reduction for corporate, government, and educational clients. The American Accent Guide evolved from her years of research and experience helping thousands of English learners achieve remarkably high success in their speech goals as they advanced their careers.

The approach and content of The American Accent Guide reflect the foundation of her undergraduate work in linguistics at San Diego State University and applied studies while earning a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Utah. The variety of the stimulating interactive exercises in The American Accent Guide comes from her years of experience in making learning enjoyable and engaging in her work with individuals from diverse language and cultural backgrounds .As a speech-language pathologist she has also served individuals from pre-school to advanced aged with their communication skills.

Ms. Lujan provides high quality coaching that now incorporates AAG-Online, which is The American Accent Guide web 2.0 interactive program with added exercises and assessments, and demonstration videos.

She has supervised university graduate students mentoring them in applying her methods and techniques, and she now trains instructors on using The American Accent Guide in blended courses that incorporate the AAG-Online program.
